Your customers are the lifeblood for your business. Without them, you wouldn’t be able to keep your doors open. By building a strong working relationship, you can keep them coming back time and again. Saying thanks is a great way to show your appreciation. If you are unsure of how to do this, here are five options.
Send a Thank-You Observation
Send an E-mail
Give a Personalised Present
Include a personalised message on a receipt
Keep in mind milestones and anniversaries
Offer a Free Product Or Low Cost Code
Send a Thank-You Observation
It’s okay to send a thank-you note that isn’t particularly creative or cute. You can handwrite it and mail it or send an ecard. This is a great way to show your clients that you value their business and are looking forward to working with them again in the future. The note should include a short message beyond simply saying “Thanks,” but it doesn’t have to be much more than that.
Send an E-mail
A thank you note can often feel formal. You can send a simple e-mail expressing your gratitude for working with the client if that is not what you prefer or you don’t want to make them feel uncomfortable. It doesn’t have to be an epic novel. But it should still be personalized. Say thank you for your business, and acknowledge what they bought. Then close it.
Give a Personalised Present
If you want to really impress a customer, you can go the extra mile by giving them personalised gifts. There are many high-quality items that you can have printed with your logo and sent to customers and their staff. You can get items like reusable shopping bags, insulated bottles of water, pens or anything else you think up.
You can select the gadgets you send based on their account size. Start with smaller items for your small customers, and then progress to larger and better products for those who bring in large amounts of money for you. Send the item with a personalized message, your logo, or another design.
Include a Personalised Message on a Receipt
You can always add a personalized note of thanks to your receipts and invoices when you send them out. This is a great way to let them know that they are appreciated and that you appreciate working with them. It could be as simple as a written thank you or as complex as a special note that is included with every receipt or bill.
Keep in mind milestones and anniversaries
You can say thanks to your customers when they send you money for products or services, but there’s nothing better than recollecting milestones and anniversary dates. Keep track of milestones and anniversaries, such as when customers first started working with you or reached a certain level in their business due to your products or services, or awards. This will strengthen your relationship with the client and let them know you’re aware of their work.
Offer a Free Product Or Low Cost Code
Like we mentioned above, people like getting swag. Free stuff or even saving money is the best way to say thanks. Sending your customers free products from your business will show them how grateful you are for their patronage. Remember that you do not always have to ship expensive items. Even if you are sending a customer a product for free, it should still be important. A free product is similar to giving flowers at a date. A single rose is said to say “I am low-cost.” Don’t forget to give something that is meaningful.
If you do not feel that you are able to provide a substantial product, offer a discount code. You can offer them a discount on your products or services so they are able to still enjoy them without having to pay the full price. The amount of discount you provide is totally up to you and what you sell. Most consumers don’t consider a reduction of 10-15% to be sufficient to change their purchasing habits.
